When birth control fails – or after a sexual assault – women have a second chance to prevent unintended pregnancy. This birth-control option is called emergency contraception (EC) or the “morning-after” pill, and it’s sold over the counter under the brand name Plan B®. It can prevent pregnancy after sex if used correctly.
NARAL Pro-Choice America created the "Plan B. Where’s Yours?" campaign to educate women about this important back-up birth-control option and to ensure that pharmacies stock the medication.
Here's how you can take action:
Find out if your local pharmacy stocks Plan B®: Call or visit, and let us know. This will give us the information we need to work with leading pharmacy chains to guarantee that American women have access to a safe and effective means of preventing unintended pregnancy.
